Privacy policy
Summary: this site uses no cookies, does not store your IP address, and measures only overall usage without identifying you. If you use the contact form, what you write reaches my email. Updated 06 Oct 2026.
Who I am
- Érick Carvalho de Jesus, designer, São Paulo, Brazil. I am responsible for the data handled on this site.
- For any privacy matter, reach me through the contact form or on LinkedIn.
What this site measures
- Which pages were opened and in which language (Portuguese or English).
- Which site you came from (only the site name, such as linkedin.com) and the “ref” or “utm_source” codes in links I sent myself.
- Screen size, in three ranges: phone, tablet or computer.
- Approximate country, provided by Cloudflare. I do not record city.
- How far the page was scrolled (25%, 50%, 75% and 100%), which parts of the case studies were on screen, and whether a case was read to the end.
- How long the page stayed open and active (milestones at 15, 30, 60 and 120 seconds).
- Clicks to download the CV, open LinkedIn, switch language, open the prototype, go to the next case and open external links (only the destination site name).
- Whether the contact form was sent successfully or failed. What you type in the form never enters the measurement.
- Loading speed and page stability (LCP, CLS and INP), so I can fix what is slow.
What this site does not do
- It uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser to measure visits.
- It does not store your IP address or the full details of your browser.
- It does not build a profile of you, follow you across sites, show ads, or sell or share measurement data.
- It does not record your screen, your mouse or what you type.
How I count visits without identifying you
- To tell whether several actions came from the same visit, the server mixes your IP, your browser, the day’s date and a secret of mine, and stores only a short code from that result. The code cannot be reversed to reach your IP.
- The IP is discarded right away. The code changes every day, so you cannot be recognized from one day to the next.
Why I may do this measurement
- I rely on legitimate interest (Brazilian LGPD, art. 7, IX; in the EU, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)): understanding how the portfolio is used so I can improve it. I collect the minimum, I do not identify you, and you can object at any time (see below on how to turn it off).
How long I keep it
- Measurement data is kept for up to 13 months and deleted automatically. The cleanup runs once a month.
- Contact form messages are kept while the conversation is active. I delete them within 12 months after the last contact.
How to turn the measurement off
- If your browser sends the “Do Not Track” (DNT) or “Global Privacy Control” (GPC) signal, this site measures nothing, neither in the browser nor on the server.
- Tracking blockers work too. The site stays fully usable without the measurement.
Contact form
- It collects name, email and message, only what you type. I use it to read and reply to your message, for example about a job or a project. I do not use it for advertising or mailing lists.
- Legal basis: to answer your request and discuss a possible engagement (LGPD, art. 7, V and IX).
- The message is delivered to my email by the Web3Forms service (United States), which acts as a processor.
Who the data passes through
- Cloudflare: hosts the site, works out the approximate country and stores the measurement data. It keeps normal technical access logs, such as the IP, for security and operation.
- Web3Forms: delivers the contact form messages.
- Google Fonts: when the typefaces load, Google receives your IP address.
- Adobe and Behance: when you open the Prudential case video, these services receive your IP address and may use their own cookies.
- Some of these services are outside Brazil. I do not sell or disclose your data to anyone beyond the services above (LGPD, art. 33).
Cookies and storage
- This site uses no cookies. It only keeps, in the open tab, a temporary mark that helps the language-switch animation. It disappears when you close the tab.
Your rights
- At any time you can ask for: confirmation that I hold your data, access, correction, deletion, information about who I shared it with, and objection to the measurement (LGPD, art. 18; GDPR arts. 15–21).
- Because the daily measurement code cannot be linked back to you, I generally cannot locate individual visit data. Please write anyway: I will reply and explain.
- If you think I did not resolve it, you can contact Brazil’s data protection authority (ANPD). If you are in the European Union, you can also contact your national authority.
Question or request about your data? Write to me through the contact form or on LinkedIn. I reply within 15 days.
